About The Project

We were tasked with creating a site that captured the new brand direction for a luxury interior designer. They were launching a product line for the first time, and wanted to have a brand voice that catered to the high end clients and projects they were looking to take on. In addition, AWD had multiple new design projects they wanted to add to their portfolio, but were limited by their previous site.

The Problem 

  • The existing site did not have a store function which prevented them from launching their new product line and sharing it with their audience.

  • Styling on the site felt out of touch with the direction of the brand and the projects they were looking to take on

  • The catalog of completed projects were out of date and hard to update, making it difficult to add their new projects and keep the site updated

The Solution

  • We created an engaging store with strong imagery and product descriptions, allowing customers to know exactly what they are going to get

  • We tied the new styling and strong personality throughout the site through fun graphics, animations, and colors, giving a bright refresh to the outdated site

  • An in-depth project gallery was created, allowing for a higher number of projects to be shown giving customers a better understanding of the firm’s styling and capabilities

Design Process

DISCOVER

Identifying the goals of the projects and taking a look at how other players in the same industry are tackling similar challenges.

DEFINE

Identifying the project goals, we define the user personas to gain an understanding of potential pain points. We crafted potential solutions and simulated the user flow.

IDEATE

Using the research we conducted, we began creating  the mood boards, wireframes and the information architecture, creating a clear direction and styling for the project.

DESIGN

Development of the site begins and the UI kit is established. We structure the typography, color palette, icons & buttons to ensure brand consistency across the site.

TEST

A/B tests are run across a variety of functions, ensuring various customer needs are met and final functions are optimized before going live to the public.
